The Role

Biophysical characterization is essential in biopharmaceutical development to ensure structural integrity, manufacturability, safety, stability, and clinical efficacy of therapeutic biologics like monoclonal antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates.

As a Research Associate at Biophysical Characterization Unit, the main responsibilities will be to independently plan, execute experiments and analyze data related to antibody and other proteins characterization (e.g. non-specific interactions, aggregation, purity, charge profiles).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute laboratory experiments according to SOPs.

  • Prepare experimental reports, analyse data and draw conclusions autonomously.

  • Assist senior team members with experimental setup and day-to-day lab operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely project progress.

  • Being able to prepare and communicate project reports.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, proactively seeking guidance when challenges arise.

Your Profile

  • Master or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related life sciences field with at least 2 years of relevant lab experience.

  • Previous hands-on experience in protein analytical characterization assays such as HPLC techniques, LC-MS, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, WB, cIEF, CE-SDS.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • Curious and eager to learn.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
