The Role

The Laboratory Assistant provides operational support to laboratory activities by ensuring the availability of clean materials, laboratory glass consumables, disinfectant solutions, and well-organized workspaces. The role supports laboratory readiness through material handling, washing room operations, decontamination activities, and waste management, contributing to safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and distribute laboratory materials, including glassware and autoclaved items.

• Maintain laboratory support areas, sinks, benches, and consumable stations.

• Operate and support activities within the laboratory washing rooms.

• Prepare and distribute disinfectant solutions and purified water.

• Support laboratory and equipment decontamination activities.

• Coordinate laboratory coat management and laundry services.

• Assist with waste management and decontamination processes.

• Ensure availability and organization of laboratory consumables and supplies.

• Comply with laboratory safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Your Profile

• High School Diploma (mandatory).

• Previous experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or support environment is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and good documentation practices is desirable.

• Relevant experience in a laboratory environment.

• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and maintenance procedures.

• Ability to maintain a flexible approach to workload and tasks.

• Demonstrates strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
