The Role

We are seeking an Intern to join our Scientific Office team for a 6-month IEFP [+TALENTO] internship. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the scientific, technical, and commercial aspects of a biotechnology service company. The successful candidate will support activities related to protein production, purification, and characterization services while developing an understanding of customer interactions processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to the company’s different business areas and service offerings.

  • Develop knowledge of protein production and purification workflows, as well as functional and biophysical protein characterization techniques.

  • Support the Scientific Office team in managing incoming customer inquiries and service requests.

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of quotations and project proposals.

  • Help gather and organize technical information required for customer communications and project planning.

  • Collaborate with scientific and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely responses to customer requests.

  • Maintain records and documentation related to customer interactions and service proposals.

  • Participate in internal meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives when appropriate

Your Profile

  • Eligible for IEFP [+TALENTO] internship.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or biotechnology.

  • Interest in and understanding of the principles underlying protein production and purification.

  • Introductory knowledge of functional and biophysical protein characterization techniques.

  • Familiarity with research and development (R&D) environments and good laboratory practices.

  • Ability to learn quickly and assimilate new scientific concepts.

  • Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to the analysis of technical information.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, particularly in scientific and technical contexts.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from technical supervisors.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the objectives of the internship.
